Weapons for Shadowdark
Jägerweapons to kill giant monster

For my setting of Metatheosis, and especially for the maritime campaign I am working on, I expanded the Shadowdark arsenal with blackpowder weapons, harpoons, some can-openers to defeat heavy armor, and special weapons for hunters, the Jägerwaffen. Those are the giant weapons we know and love from Monsterhunter or Dark Souls. They inflict enormous damage, or defeat armor, but attack with disadvantage due to their weight. So the hunters will have to create circumstances that give them advantage on the attack to compensate, like ambush, traps, poison or group tactics.

Scatter (SC): The damage die can be distributed between several targets close to each other

Area (AE): The weapon hits everything within near of the impact

Armor Piercing (AP): The weapon ignores up to 5 points of AC from armor or shields.

Slow Loading (SL): It takes an entire round to load the weapon

Heavy (HE): This weapon is so cumbersome that you get disadvantage on attacks with the weapon.

Rope (R): A rope can be fastened to the weapon. If it inflicts any damage, it sticks in the target. It can be pulled out with a DC 15 STR check, inflicting their damage again when pulled out.

Underwater (UW): Can be used underwater at range and without disadvantage.
